like the other reviews mention, Cesky Krumlov is all good and I could have just spent months here i think. Great place even in November when it was a little quieter than usual I suspect. Cheaper than Prague - this place has it's own very distinct character and is one of my favourites.

I stayed in one of the new private rooms which are only 2 months old, brand new bathroom just across the hall which was great. The room was clean, secure and everything you expect from a hotel really. It's smack bang in the middle of everything and you can wander near the castle as you find the next place to rest.

The staff were also helpful and on check-in, they provide you with a map and a list of recommended places to visit. There's loads to eat and drink here - the medieval places are great, inc an amazing veggie restaurant and you're basically spoilt for choice.

Make sure you get out of Prague and see Cesky Krumlov - it's something you need to see experience, maybe several times....

The Traveller's Hostel is a mish-mash of beds in a cozy wooden atmosphere. The bathrooms were unbelievably clean (thank god). There was a great deck to sit out on, drink a beer, and check (Czech) out the town and countryside. In addition they have an enthusiastic and friendly staff that are very helpful with any questions.

Very nice and clean hostel. Tea and coffee for free all the time in a comfortable kitchen with TV (The Simpson in czech is funny). There're very big lockers in the dorms. There's a game room with pool and baby foot. I learned czech, I danced and I met nice people. There're concerts in the bar sometimes and the mood is very crazy. Don't miss Cesky Krumlov, it's a town to see. Rafting on the river, wonderful baroc and rococo castle, very good preserved medieval architectur and good galeries and museums.

Travellers is a friendly, well-maintained, clean hostel in beautiful Cesky Krumlov.

The atmosphere was friendly and there was a good sociable party buzz in the evenings.

The beds are OK - singles, not bunks which is good, and comfortable enough to get a good night's sleep. The lockers in the rooms are huge and safe enough. The showers are not the best but there was plenty of hot water.

The staff are pretty helpful too, making this a good value option for exploring the town.

The travellers hostel is situated in a very central part of Cesky Krumlov, but its such a small town it doesnt really matter....its run by a very friendly girl whose name a cant remember, she speaks excellent english, the rooms are clean although apparently on the top floor they can get very hot and stuffy. There are also lockers in the room which means the rooms arent cluttered with backpacks etc. They also have a bar with very cheap beer, I drank a hell of a lot of it one night, and although my head hurt the next day, my wallet didnt. Having the bar makes it a great place to meet other travellers and there is also a pool hall right next door.

Another handy thing they do is organise a minibus to Vienna, although apparently the other hostels in Cesky also do this.

On the down side, the showers are small and few, but there is a good supply of hot water. Sometimes they will have a band playing in the main area which means a lot of noise into the night if you are trying to sleep and, although breakfast is provided, it isnt very good but beggars cant be choosers I guess!

Have fun.
