Run-down beds in 15-bed-dorms, showers looking like a horror-movie-set. But: It´s really kind of cool, if you like some kind of thrashy atmosphere. It perfectly fits into Copenhagens alternative scene. There´s music, you meet great people and anyway - it´s one of the cheapest places to stay in Denmark´s capital

This hostel has a good location and a very friendly staff. The main room is also really cool and the yard out front is another good hang out spot. The rooms are less impressive. They are huge, the beds creak with every breath, and they don't give you sheets or even a pillow (what a bummer). The showers are sketch-city, but you can go a few days without one, right? You decide. Definitely check out Sleep In Heaven, though this is a reasonable option if they're booked (which they will be). This hotel is not too bad, but if you've been staying in all those hip, modern hostels around the rest of Western Europe you may be a little disappointed. It is an excellent place to meet friends, though.

A quick walk from the Train Station and Tivoli Gardens. Optional breakfast of corn flakes, granola, bread, jam, coffee, milk, OJ, etc. Yes, a BBQ. Communual showers warning for the modest Americans out there. Rooms are cleaned daily 10am-12noon, but beds are exceptionally creaky, unless if you are a heavy sleeper (like me), and some rooms are very large. Why a 4, then? PEOPLE. Guests hung out in common areas and in courtyard (see pics on website). Staff was extremely friendly, and their reception guy made our stay a favorite one. (what a cutie!)

This is a great hostel right in the centre of Copenhagen. The rooms are clean and there are lockers provided. The reception is also a bar. There is an outside courtyard with BBQ's which are free to use.
