As my first experience in a hostel in London I would say that it was an overall good experience. Everyone I met was friendly, even those that seemed to have taken up permanent residence (Lots of Aussies) Traveling alone, I was never faced with a difficult time finding someone to go out with if I wanted. Only warning.... Watch the showers. They are super small!!! On my first night in I bent over shaving my legs and I accidently bumped into the hot water pipe and got a 3rd degree burn on my arm. None of the staff seemed overly concerned. If it werent for a nurse that happened to be staying in the same room I don't know what I would have done.

Not as nice as some others, but not bad, either. One thing I found out the hard way, night buses do not run regularly to Earl's Court. The tube stops running at midnight so if you are out clubbing you'll probably need to take a cab home- and a cab from Leicester Square will set you back about 12 pounds plus tip. if you are headed into London on a Saturday night to go out clubbing you might be better off with a more central location.

Very easy to get to from Heathrow via Underground! Rooms and bathrooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. There are lockers in the rooms for your belongings. I didn't have any trouble, but a friend had the lock on the locker broken and his things taken while he was sleeping, so beware- it isn't a fix all! The people are friendly and an adequate breakfast can be included if you like. Try the internet cafe around the corner rather than the one in the hostel, it is much cheaper! Cool area and the rest of London is easily accesible. The price is a little higher than some of the other hostels, but if you are jet lagged and loaded down with baggage it'll never come as a second thought!
