I agree with the previous comments. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and the hostel is very clean and comfortable. Food is good, if a little on the expensive side, but reasonable by Finnish standards!Staying at this hostel is a pleasure in itself.

I have now stayed in the Euro Hostel twice, both times it has been superb! Its clean, friendly and welcoming. It has excellent facilities - sauna, laundry and canteen as well as excellent bathrooms. It is easy to get to on the tram, hardly any walk at all and close to the centre. Well worth it!

This hostel was very easy to find--a short walk from the Rostock-Helsinki ship and I was there. Hostel had an elevator, credit card door lock, comfortable bed, showers were ample with hot water, friendly and helpful staff. They helped me with my plans to Estonia for a day trip. There was a sauna on the top floor which was free in the mornings, but after 5 days in Helsinki, I was sick of saunas. Most rooms were either single or double and were very quiet. The tram stop was located just outside the door of the hostel. The coffee at the hostels just didn't do the trick in the morning and I had to get another cup downtown. I did my laundry while sending messages on the computer to friends back home.

I stayed in the Euro Hostel about a year and a half ago and was most impressed. The rooms offer a very good level of comfort and the hostel is well situated for all of Helsingfors amenities. The staff are first rate and went out of their way to help if they could. They helped me immeasurably with planning onward trips to St Petersburg and Tallinn in Estonia.Breakfast and other meals can be bought from the hostels café which rated fairly. The hostel overlooks the port which can lead to quite a bit of boat-spotting, but may disrupt the slumber of the light sleepers among you.Helsinki can be an expensive place to stay, but this hostel is so reasonably priced you needn't look much further.
