I found out about the peace and love hostel when i was at gare du nord train station in paris , a young texan approached me with a flyer and he said that this hostel was cool , always a party and lots of drugs , so i thought why not?I got out at juares station and went to the peace and love hostel , i was greeted by a hispanic bartender who couldn't speak french or english very well , but i ended up getting room 17 , at the top of the hostel , 6 floors of winding staircase with a 30 kgs pack on my back!The rooms aren't as nice as they were in the flyer but they weren't too bad , i stayed in a single room with a bunk bed , no pillows and the bed squeeked like it was about to fall apart, it also had a nice bathroom but the shower was really small, not recommended for fat people i had a great view of the eiffel tower and the location was good , near pigalle (the red light district) phamacy and food stores.The bar was open till 2 and happy hour was from 20h till 22h , the draft was cheap , depending on which bartender served you , my advice about this is to ask the price of the beer before you order , and never ever in any bar where you can't speak the language , run a tab, because the bartender will always try to screw you over!!hash was readily available at the hostel from 2 texans , i don't know what they were doing selling hash in paris , they had only been there for 3 weeks and couldnt speak any french at all but it was good hash, so i didn't mind. if you want to buy to buy some drugs in paris my advice is to ask young arabs in the train stations (this isn't meant to be racist, but if you go to france you'll see what i mean) , but be careful getting ripped off is easy. if you ever come into trouble with french police for hash or weed just give them what you have and they'll let you go , don't act smart with french police , because theres not too much you can do if they beat the crap out of you because you're not in your home country.enjoy paris.
