I lived at the Woodstock for 4 months&love it.Regarding the theft in review below, it was a very unfortunate incident and hasnt happened for 2months now.The staff were all very upset by it, it was something they couldnt control as the police wouldnt help.Just be vigilant if you go-you should too.Everyone is so friendly and helpful and the hostel always goes off at night.I made some of the best friends there. Long live Woodstock!!!

The Woodstock was pretty nice place to meet people, there always seemed to be a party going on. My major concern about this place was the theft. After you check in there's a sign that warns that there's a man that breaks in at night and steals peoples' money and credit cards. Even though the party scene was defintely there I don't think i'ts worth getting your wallet stolen, by staying there.

This hostel seemed to draw a lot of really awsome people. It was clean and friendly. Lots of partying and drinking until 5 in the morning. They have a kitchen but it is tiny. I went and stayed here twice and loved it both times.

I stayed at the Woodstock hostel at the end of March 2002 while on spring break. The room I stayed in was clean and the toilet room was clean, but the showers were terrible. I took a shower around 10:30 a.m. and the water was cold, so if you get in there early you might get hot water. The floor had hair all over it and there was no place to put personal belongings (other than the floor). The bed was comfortable and it was pretty cheap at 15 euros (extra for linens). I didn't bother with internet access since there was always someone else using the computer. There is a lockout from 11-5 although apparently no one cares if you sleep in past 11. I didn't check out much of the nightlife since I only stayed there one night, but the commons area is pretty small and would make for a pretty cramped bar. On the upside there is storage space for your backpack, and the rooms are nice and big, and there wasn't much noise outside during the night.

The common area is tiny and cramped. The shower was the most terrible I've ever been in. The internet costs a fortune. The rooms are simply decent. It's not exactly in the center of the action either.
