We stayed at Hotel Baccarat in April 2002 and had a four bedded dormroom with the luxury of our own en-suite. Its not in the greatest part of town but very close to the train station and only a 20min stroll down the main street to Old Town Nice and waterfront. Its also clean, so when you are only there to rest your head for the night, what more do you need! Was also very cheap (approx £8 a night per person). The only downside was the traffic noise.
