I really enjoyed this hostel. There was a weirdo in the room - but the beds were so nice and clean and soft. The linen was new. The rooms were bright and airy and the location is very close to the main attractions of Munich.

This hostel makes its home inside of a former hotel. The beds, linen, and sheets were probably the nicest that I had throughout the entire trip. They had a breakfast buffet, but it cost an extra 5 euros to take part. I really liked this place and was pleasantly surprised as Munich can often be very difficult to find accomodation. The staff tried to be very helpful (the one woman booked our hostel in Salzburg free of charge), but they were very new and suggested many things that proved to be inaccurate and frustrating. I am positive that this will improve and then this hostel would be a place that I would return to.

Still a building site this place has no atmosphere whatsoever and is well away from the action.

The token common room was only occupied by shady looking guys in suits.

The few other guests I met here all left after one night and moved into the city centre.

The rooms are okay but the building has the air of a hospital.

Certainly not what I look for in a hostel !

The Easy Palace was recommended to me by the people from Instant Sleep in Hamburg (another good hostel by the way). E.P has a real comrade amongst the guest and the staff. I like the quarter of town it is in. I met a bunch of really interesting and diverse people (wich is the essence of hosteling for me). While it is not a party hostel ( this is a good thing), there is a nice atmosphere at night when many of the hostelers sit around having a few beers and discussing all kinds of things and exchanging travelling information, e-mail addresses and phone numbers. For the most part the staff is real friendly and informative and clearly enjoy working with people and telling people about Munich. They love Munich. There is one major league asshole on a stick though but you don´t have to worry about him becuase he will be gone by the time you get there. He is short guy with a Napoleonic complex and has short black hair. He has all the charm and social skills of the Incredible Hulk on a rampage. If he only had a Charlie Chaplin moustache he would remind you of....well...you know. Anyway that being said this hostel rocks. Nice beds. Great showers, great staff, and it is attracting a good clientele. GO HERE

This hostel was the one of the best ones I have stayed in. It was clean with new beds, mattresses, sheets and rooms. The largest room had 7 beds and it's own new and clean bathroom. It was relatively cheap at 16.50 euros. They had tons of information on English-speaking tours and things to do. There were a lot of people to meet and the staff was friendly.

The ONLY downside I saw was that it was a bit far away from the city center and I didn't see any subway lines out there. Still only about a mile or so.
