we stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time in the bar downstairs. we stayed on the 5th floor and had a nice room for europe. it was one of the better hostels that we have stayed in for the past 1 and half months. Imad was a great employee at the hostel. He made sure we had a good time at the place and bar !!!!!! I recommend this hostel over wombats or any other so called hostel in the area. Hope to see u here

this place was probably the highlight of my 3 weeks hostelling. althought a 22 bed dorm sounds a bit daunting, it was actually really well planned out and the bed i was on anyway had a little privacy. the bar is cool and open really late. the place is extremely clean, and the staff friendly enough. its also pretty much across the road from Munich Hbf. if youre going to Munich, stay here.

I called to make a reservation but they couldn't accept telephone reservations, which I can fully understand regarding the hostel's enormous popularity. It is logical that they give preference to the people that are actually there yet. I arrived in Munich at 10 o' clock (in July) but the hostel was already full. The staff was friendly though and gave me information on availability of other hostels and cheap hotels, they apparently had made some phone calls just to be able to inform the people that where arriving. There was plenty of "room" at the Tent, but I preferred a more expensive single room at Jaeger's Hostel next door, which seems to serve as a lesser version (not cheaper!) of Euro Youth, without the charm, for those who didn't get in. So I booked a bed in Euro Youth for the next night showing some hard cash :-) and stayed for three more. The hostel has a real German feel, newly decorated rooms, showers and toilets (all very clean and spacious), a welcoming and lively but not too noisy bar. Even though it is located almost directly near the train station, the neighborhood is nice too, with restaurants and bars, and the center is not very far. Munich is a great city and I will surely (try to) stay at Euro Youth Hostel again.

Stayed at this place in munich for the second time last week and it is still brilliant. stayed there 2 years ago during octoberfest (can't remember much) but it seems the place got all new bathrooms and showers. the bar was a lot more happening now, and the english bartender there is soooo cute! I will defintiley be coming back a third time to munich and will forsure stay at the euro youth

Well we thought that this place would be nice and organised seen as its part of the world famous hostels, boy were we wrong! We called and made a reservation several days in advance and actually called back to confirm the booking a couple of hours after making it - just to make sure we had it because we were arriving on a Saturday night. When we arrived after a rather long and delayed train ride we were told (rather rudely) that they didnt have our booking and wouldnt help us at all to find somewhere else to stay on saturday night in munich. The man we delt with was rude and offered no appology for the stuff up at there end. We ended up staying at the tent and had a great time

My boyfriend and I stayed here mid May, so central and clean, we didn't have a reservation and got lucky I think as this place is always busy. The fact that they have a bar downstairs is cool cause it rained the 3 days we were in Munich (which suxed) but meant we could stay in too.Party atmosphere cool, rooms spacey and bathrooms lovely, close and clean, our roomies were cool, it is so big but sometimes a little too big because it tends to feel like you cant get to know people so well- it holds hundreds of people! My only criticism is the no kitchen thing, as Munich is one of the most expensive cities in Europe it killed our bank balances having to eat out all the time. The hostel does provide meals but of course you gotta pay for them and they are somewhat overpiced. But for a good, central hostel stay here, and the staff are just fun and lovely. Do think about getting a kitchen though guys for those of us on a budget!

was here for 4 nights at the start of May. Munich's one of my favourite places so far and this hostel rocks. The hostel is decorated very traditionally but has all mod-cons... fast cheap internet, an electronic flyer board (!!) etc.The location is awesome and the staff really cool. While I was there there was a big party going on for Europe's Famous Hostels. It was an excellent night and the dj's were giving away t-shirts and free accommodation in other hostels around Europe !Highly recommended !!!
