I was amazed by Circus II. My husband are going back for a full week in the spring of 2004 (we're an older couple but we didn't feel out of place at all!)The room was totally amazing - like a little penthouse suite with a surround view of the city.Take a walking tour with Brewer's Best of Berlin and don't miss Kristian (the Canadian tour guide). His tours were the hi light of our visit. He doesn't just show you around....he entertains as well. Unlike any historic walking tour we've ever taken.

Yeah, there's plenty of reviews. I agree whole-heartedly! Cool people, nice beds, clean showers (with pressure!) and good location. Ohhhhyeahhh.

I don't know what to say about the Circus hostel. Great location, fantastic beds, all Ikea furniture. It is like a small city with every amenity (bar, cafe, internet) and THE MOST helpful staff in any hostel in Europe. You can also rent their annual membership cards to all-state museums for one day for only 2 euros... you could literally visit a handful of museums for only 2 euros!!! It would be very difficult for anybody not staying in the hostel to get in (great security) and I really don't think that I could say enough nice things about the place. If you go, grab a doner kebab for me.

We finished out our trip in Berlin and stayed in Circus II for 7 days. This place was amazing. The bar down stairs, the reception and the rooms blew our minds. The only downside was that they didn't take dredit, not that big of a deal. However they didn't make us pay for the rooms right away because we were staying such a long time. Very nice staff and great food all around, plus its really close to the metro stop. I walked down the block looking for it when it was literally 10 steps away from the exit. Check out the Hot Dog place and the Doner Kebop stand across the street. Great cheap eats. Plus do the Brewer's Best of Berlin Walk, its worth it.

Words cannot describe what a fantastic place this is. I even added two more nights in Berlin because this Hostel is so cool. The rooms are great, fully furnished with IKEA stuff and these incredibly comfy pillows. The bathrooms are clean, the showers are hot, the pressure is great. The internet downstairs is pretty step in price, go to the travel agency next door, or the gamers cafe down the street for a better deal. The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about all of Berlin.Great locale, right across the street from the Bahn station. Easy access to everything. Lot's of cheap eats nearby, the two Euro donner kebab's, or the pizza stand (BEWARE: "Pepperoni Pizza" is pizza with jalapeno peppers on it), or the various grocers down the road. I took the Brewer's Walking Tour (4 hour), I found it to be very informative and well worth the money. There's a 10 hour version for those people who are brave enough to handle all that walking.Walk up the street that the Circus is on, hang out in the park, or check out the cool shops and stuff in the neighborhood just to the North. Hang out on the couches in the lobby, you are sure to meet lots of cool people from all over the world. The Circus bar is expensive; you can buy full on 40oz bottles of beer for a euro at the beer store kitty corner to the Circus (under the Pal Mal sign). I would definitely recommend the Circus to anyone who stays in Berlin; you will come away thinking this is truly one of the best Hostels on the planet.

Incredible hostel, at the end of a packed day of sightseeing it was wonderful to go 'home' to the Circus. It has a great location, right near the underground and there is a good variety of restaurants (with discounts for hostel guests) across the street. The staff at this hostel are amazing: they are truly helpful and really want to make sure you have a great stay. We stayed in a quad: rooms were spacious and clean, beds were comfy...you even get your own ikea lamp and bedside table. It does get warm in the rooms and pretty loud with street traffic if you sleep with the windows open. The showers and bathrooms were clean, the security was great. Breakfast is not included here but for 3 euros they serve a pretty good buffet with cereal, fresh fruit, yogourt, and various bread, cheeses, and meats. Don't forget to check out the other bonuses the hostel offers such as discounts on admission to museums etc. EXCELLENT place!!! gotta love the Circus

Having stayed in many hostels during my travels, I was immensely pleased with Circus. We arrived at reception and had the friendliest welcome I've ever had from a hostel (especially a large one!). Clean rooms, showers with killer pressure and hot, hot water. The staff wanted to do everything for us, and did. We had a problem in our dorm room - a very, very smelly guy was staying there. We complained and the staff asked him to please shower, clean himself etc. Another night of smelliness passed, and the staff kicked him out. They were very helpful in a terrible situation - the guy honestly stank to high heaven.Perfect location, lots of good eats in the neighbourhood (Indian, sushi, etc). Only problem: traffic was unbearably loud with the windows open. Just don't get a stinky guy in your room and you'll be fine.

This place is SUPER clean. This place is for the pickiest person out there. The crowd is fairly social. There is a nice cafe below. All the furniture is new. The only thing you can say bad is that the place lacks the personal, homely feeling of some other places.

All i can say, is STAY HERE. You will not regret it. The place is brand new, all Ikea furnished, the staff is SOOO helpful, internet right there, access to tours, spotless bathrooms, great breakfast. My stay was amazing. I had a wonderful time. This place is all about helping its guests. Above and beyond any other hostel.
