Well I was there in may, right before peak season....Had the time of my life! The parties were great, (we just waked to town and bought beer there) This place is for the person who wants to have a really good time and doesnt care if it costs a couple of euros. Some of the greatest stories from my trip are from this place, yes they are out for your money so be careful, but, you should not be travelling if you are that naive. The bar isnt the greatest but you can have fun if you want to, buy alot of drinks at happy hour! I went quading and kayaking twice, amazing times!!! The beach can use some work though, that was disapointing, being greece and all...So in the end, I had an awesome time, yes It cost a bit, but it was like a vacation away from my vacation! Would def hit it up again easily, oh ya, not a place for couples! alot of bed jumping, seen some crazy stuff!

I've visited the Pink Palace two years in a row now and have found my experience to worsen each year. As most of my friends who were employed for the summer months I recommend... DO NOT WORK HERE. Upon signing a contract, a friend of mine found the 12 hour shifts and disappointing pay a terrible way to spend her summer, she decided to leave a WEEK earlier than expected. She was robbed of TWO MONTHS salary and could do nothing about it. You don't get paid on time, and the entire process of collecting your money is really unorganized. Personally, I found the staff to be completely useless and unhelpful, that's if they weren't totally depressed to be working there. The owner himself, ritually indulging in bottles of alcohol a day degraded the female guests (probably since there's very few ladies, too many men) and has found every way possible to make a dollar on every service there. Don't send postcards, they are piled up in a box and sent off about 3 weeks after you drop them off. Buy anything you need in the village as things are overly priced and not worth your money. The internet room is fully packed most of the day as there is nothing much to do at the hostel except sleep or take the long journey of a walk to the beach. There are no such activities as they advertise in the brochure. There seems to be less and less people visiting this hostel each year, and even in the busy season there are about max 300 with only about 100 people coming to the Palladium nightclub, a place that should fit about 1000 people. Women are treated like animals here, being fed drinks to loosen them up as the local men and male staff degrade them further. My gf herself, was near tears as she participated in the toga night and was purposely indecently exposed by male staff as her toga was torn off as snapshots were taken for perverted intentions. If you think you'll be picked up from the ferry or airport, think again. Upon making arrangements to be picked up and having to take a taxi here in the late hours of the night, they will not reimburse you your 40 euro spent and will go to any lengths to cover their butts with an elaborate story. A lot of guests make the switch from PP to Sunrock in Pelekas which is about 15 min away, a SUPERB hostel. The food is amazing with portions big enough to feed small families, the staff is incredilbly hospitable, it is RIGHT on the beach and the parties are outrageous. Not to mention how 90% of the guests are girls as opposed to Pink Palace where 90% of the guests are guys. Basically, in my opinion, the PP is slowly deteriorating year to year. The poor management and shallow treatment of the guests is making for a terrible reputation at the Pink Palace and if you must stay here, make your stay as short as possible.

As an ex-employee of the PP i can shed some light on this crafty establishment. Firstly, the PP reps that meet you at the port will promise you anything- even a ride back to the port when you leave- in order to get you on the bus. they have no intention of seeing these through. THERE ARE NO DORM ROOMS- as advertised on the net. there are just A and B class rooms. even in peak season it is possible to get a room for 15euro a night. staff are encouraged to lie to you about room availabilty and price. The ATM in the village does not charge 8-10euro per transaction. that is a lie the reception staff will tell you so you get money from them and pay their 5% fee. The ATM charges about 1.50euro. The phone cards sold at the PP for 10euro are in fact 5euro cards. you can buy the exact same card for 5euro in corfu town. The postal service for 80cents in reception is just staff putting 65cent stamps on your postcards. you can buy stamps yourself in the village, and the post box is just across the street. THERE IS NO tennis court, banana boating, fishing, scuba, waterskiing, playstation etc as advertised on the net and brochures- and never has been. There are a lot of dodgy goings on at the PP. none of the staff are working legally, for one thing, and this summer ***EDITED TO COMPLY WITH BUG'S REVIEW GUIDELINES***. just the tip of the iceberg, i imagine. staff work 10 hr days, 7 days a week, and this summer Dr george signed a contract with staff, and then told them after a month or two that he could no longer afford to pay them. so some staff were stuck there working unpaid 10 hr days without breaks because their travel arrangements had already been made based on their contract.Lastly, the reviewer 'christoff' is also a staff member who worked as the PP web designer. the poor guy is probably just having words put in his mouth. Basically everything is a scam: right from the beginning when you drink your welcoming shot of ouzo and the staff member does a 'shot' of pink coloured water.Make your own mind up. it can be a fun place, but be extremely wary and dont get ripped off.

I was there over easter weekend, big mistake. Nothing in the village was even open for the season. So your stuck at the hostel the whole time. They have a brochure listing lots of different activites to do. But they don't tell you is that thoes activites are only during the summer months. While I was there you could only rent the quads. So all there is to do is drink, which is expensive there. The rooms in the A - class building were some of the best i've seen, nice beds, big private bathroom, heat and a/c plus a private balcony. The B-class rooms were the opposite, no heat or a/c, dirty rooms with crapy beds, the showers only have hot water after 7pm. When I was there they checked me in to a b class room. I was really disapointed. After talking to some people there I found out about the A-class, I asked reception and they let me up grade for only 2 euros more per night. Take the upgrade, its worth it.

Truly nothing like I expected it to be, went to the Pink Palace because I saw allot of advertising and good reports about the place so I had to check it out. I got there after coming from Brindisi ( true there is a airport ) took a ferie over and got met at the port. Got in a Pink Bus and off we went. Got introduced to everything there straight away even had a shot of Ozou to get us going. There was so much to do I took a Kayak out and paddled the day but some people took Quads and others went on a Booze cruise everyone had fun. Went out to there Club the Pink Paladium really thought the music was pretty awsome. Well guys this place Rocks. Im coming back soon getting one of those Cheap tickets from London again to Brindisi. Defnitily a spot to check out.

First off, THE ATMs DO NOT CHARGE 8-10 EURO IN CORFU. They will tell you this at reception so that you use your visa and pay their 5% comission...and they want you to pay in advance for all the nights you plan to stay beefore showing you to your room. On top of this, they told me the ATM was broken at the time anyway. I marched down the hill and it worked just fine. The only charge is the $1.50 my bank charges me per withdrawal. There are a few sheisty moves they pull to get more cash out of you, and if you have an accident when you rent one of their 4-wheelers (which apparently happened 12 times over the last 3 weeks) you are really screwed- they won't give you any medical help save for calling an ambulance, and will stick you with the entire repair cost; like the $140 a girl had to pay who is in the hospital in Corfu for 3 weeks now. Aside from that you can really have fun here. You won't get much culture unless you go into the town for dinner...but since your dinner is included in your room fee it's not likely. Just have a good lunch in town- the food down there is cheap and good. The beach is great and the poorly paid, overworked staff offers a lot of services to help you enjoy your stay. The booze cruise rocks out! An absolute riot even though it costs 15 euro and doesn't include booze- 1.5 euro per beer. Do a water bottle with vodka and you're all good. The club is good on busy nights but gets old quick, as does the music which is not going to be cutting-edge electronica or garage from a DJ..just loud american pop. People are generally there to hook up. The happy hour prices are good, though.Despite the danger, 4-Wheeler rentals are great, and you can see the whole island in style for 15 euro plus gas per day. Kayaks are cheap rentals but also lack quality..really weak. The rooms, especially the a-class which were 28 euro, are awesome. Most are a very long walk to the beach, but with a good bathroom and AC to help you sleep. The musical-rooms game gets annoying though when your roomy is having a shag and you gotta get to sleep. You can just sit around all day reading books or meditating or whatever, as there are plenty of spots to do so. Beach chairs are free also, although umbrellas cost 1.50. It really is what you make of it. Have fun.

The pink palace is great if you want to meet lots of other back-packers and have a break from travelling, but you definitely WILL NOT experience REAL greek culture. The location is fantastic, green mountainous, long sandy beaches etc..., and if you really want to taste authentic greek food you must walk down the hill (only 5 mins) into the village of Agios Gordios. Here you will find a small sleepy village with one main high street and lots of bars and tavernas leading to the beachfront. We discovered several really great places to eat, the best was Sebastian's Taverna (which also had amazing Greek Dancing and Bouzouki nights) as well as a great little Gyros Pitta bar opposite (Kalleons), their pittas are to die for! The people in the village were really friendly and helpful about how to get about the island and explore - don't get me wrong, the pink palace is a great palace to stay, but just don't get stuck there!
