Although I really hated Napoli itself I must say that at6smallrooms is by far the most relaxed hostel i've ever stayed in. The crew are mostly backpackers themselves extending their stay in Napoli working in the hostel. You'll have a great time there. The ambience of the hostel allows you to have easy contact with the crew as well as with the visitors. Games can be played, stories can be told. If you don't like this then thats ok as well.It has a cosy livingroom and a good kitchen. Honestly I can say only good things about this hostel. !!!AT6SMALLROOMS RULES!!!

What a pile of C###p. The worstp place i have ever stayed and it wouldnt have been out of place with soem of the dives that I slept in India. THe private room isnt private as everyone uses the bathroom, the tiolets have last nights s###rt flaoting in them. Do yaself a favour and go to the Imperia. Please note that it is also located in a fairly unsavoury poorly lit lane. I just assume that LP were bribed to put it in.

I stayed at 6smallrooms in 2000, and loved this hostel so much that while reading other people's reviews for the place I cried real tears because I missed the hostel and Napoli so much. I know I must sound ridiculous, but it was honestly that great an experience. I travelled around Europe (mostly Italy) for 5 months, and loved 6smallrooms so much that i kept returning - 3 times in all. There is nothing bad to say about the place. It lives up to every image you have of the perfect hostel. Jenny, the owner, is unbelievable. Australians especially will find 6smallrooms a most welcoming place. Excepting my hometown, Fremantle (Western Australia), Napoli is my favourite place on Earth. I will definitely be making a return trip one day soon... and you can guess where I'll be staying :)

the 6small rooms is one of the nicest hostels i've stayed in. clean, stylish, safe and i met really nice people. the common room is great, too. the staff was very helpful and friendly and gave good advice for our trip to amalfi. i didn't have a hard time finding the hostel because the directions the staff gave on the phone were precise and clear (even though english is not my first language). and, besides that, i just loved naples. i can really recommend this place.

This hostel is one of the best I've stayed in. Thanks to all the info given by the very good looking staff (Christian, Josh and Skip) I had such a fun time in Naples. There is so much to do, Capri, Ischia, Pompeii, Ercolano, Vesuvius and then in Naples there are museums and castles and really cheap good food. The hostel has such a homey feel to it. Really cool kitchen, and big common room with nice lazy couches and a lovely cat called Simon. 3 clean bathrooms with nice hot showers and no curfew with breaky included.

What a find! Great hostel in a fab city. Can't believe the negative Naples stories, some guide books need to move on from the typical and certainly untrue myths of this fun, interesting, and mad city. Do the researchers of the popular guide books actually visit the places they write about? Obviously not. We arrived with trepidation but anyway curiousity to see for ourselves and stayed much longer than we planned. We found Italy! The natives are really friendly, the night life is a hoot and the food is amazing. The hostel staff told us all the good eats, the good hang out spots and where NOT to go. Easy, peasey! Italy in general has been our high light but Six Small Rooms has been the best of the best so far.

What a lovely place, we stayed for 4 days only, wish we had more time. we came for just one night and then we were going to go to Amalfi but we felt so welcome and at home that we decided to do day trips instead. The friendliest, most helpful staff we have come across in all of our trip, thankyou to Jenny, Christian, Josh and Skip. The best kitchen (better than mine at home), with every utensil, pot , pan and piece of cutlery you could ask for. They even supply salt, pepper and oil. Made some really yummy food. The lady down the street sells beer, wine, water and soft drinks. Very handy. There is no lock out or curfew which is just luxurious and check out is 10.30. Breaky is hot fresh pastries and tea and coffee. We were supplied with a very detailed photo copied map of Naples (the tourist maps are too basic and hard to follow). We were catching a night train to Cicily and we were able to leave our bags for the day which is really convenient. We have stayed in some shocker hostel so this was a breath of fresh air and restored our faith that some people really do get it right. Thoroughly recommended.

Very homey atmosphere. Felt more like hanging out with your friends in a big, old share house. Rooms are huge with lovely balconies, few beds and no bunks. Three share bathrooms, very clean (that's a change). Breaky is freshly delivered pastries (cornetto), still hot, very yummy. And you can help yourselves to tea and real coffee. The kitchen is heaven sent, we cooked every night usually a bunch of us put in together and a couple of nights Skip (the kiwi) cooked for us for a measley price. The staff were really friendly and helpful and if there was something they didn't know, Skip is new, he would call his boss to ask.Naples itself was a great city. Mad and chaotic, it's worth a trip just to see the traffic. Couldn't spend much time here but it's worth a trip just for the hostel and even just as a base. The hostel is walking distance to all the transport you need for day trips. Had a very nice time, thankyou.
