No falseness about it, the staff were great. Heaps of info on where to go and what to see, great kitchen and common room.Naples maybe isn't for everyone but for us after the North of Italy we thought it was soooo 'Italian', just how we had pictured it. The hostel was by far our best experience, I guess there's no pleasing some people. Naples is fun.

When I first got here, I thought it was fantastic. There is no curfew which is easily the best advantage of this place. Also the rooms are nice even if the toilet facilities were never free. However I left the place with bad taste. We told them we wanted to stay for 3 nights and they said fine and consequently kicked us out after the second night saying it was pre-booked, very bad form I thought. Naples isn't a good place to be dumped on the street with no-where to stay!!!Also every time we went in the kitchen we were warned to clean up, Im not joking, I was warned on several occasions while I was actually doing the washing. The staff had a false friendliness about them. This place gets 2 stars coz its open all night and because its in a good location.

This place may be centrally located...... in HELL. I swear that if it hadn't been for the trip to Pompeii, I wish that I had not travelled to Naples. This hostel did have a nice common area but you always felt like you were imposing on your hosts ongoing sleep. I swear guys... get out of the hostel now and then.

I stayed here last week and had a ball - great staff who tell you loads of information and clean beds and bathrooms - a relief from some of the so called 'hostels' I've stayed in Europe so far! Great kitchen to cook up cheap dinners, and espresso and pastries for breakfast are included - all added to a chilled out visit to Napoli.

Well, I stayed at this hostel a few weeks ago and had a great time. Its prettty small, but (despite the name!!) the rooms are big, and (what a relief!!) NO BUNKS!! The staff (Josh and Kristian when I was there) were really helpful and were happy to tell me about anything about Naples or other places to go. A kitchen, a friendly cat, cheap drinks, comfy chairs and a general good vibe were all there. But above all, its about the other people you meet there. And the common room is there for that!! We had early nights while we were there (Capri and Pompeii are very tiring day trips... but great!!), and although others stayed up until midnight, it didn't seem too noisy.Oh yeah, pay atttention to the directions to the hostel they give you on the phone. We got there no problems, but if we had followed the map in the guidebook, we may not have ended up staying in this great hostel.

I have written several reviews for this hostel and none of them ever show up. I wonder why the bad reviews don't come through but the good ones, that must have been written by the staff of 6 Small Rooms, does show up. This hostel was just bad. The staff was very unhelpful and seemed to be put out if you had to ask a question or need their help because that meant they had to get up off the couch that they laid on most of the day. The bathrooms were very unclean and the hostel in general was not well kept. The area that the hostel is located in is just shady and you feel unsafe looking for this place. It is located in an alley and there is not even a sign on the door showing that this is where the hostel is located. You have to roam around aimlessly because the directions that are on the website are wrong. The only good parts about this hostel is the common room where you bond with fellow travellers over horror stories of Naples and the kitchen where you do the same. If you must go to Naples, then I would suggest you spend your 20 euro on a room that is safer, nicer and not in Naples.

and reading the recent reviews, I am very confused. Did the staff and their friends write these? This hostel was tolerable at best. The staff was unhelpful and spent most of the time laying around on the couch. It seemed to put them out if you had a question but they would ALWAYS make sure to tell you to clean up after yourself, even after you had already done it. The area the hostel is located is sketchy, at best, and one would feel a little apprehensive about walking around after dark. The rooms are cramped and the 3 showers and toliets that are shared by @ 20 people were not clean at all. The only good thing about this hostel is the common room where you can meet other travels and tell your scarey stories of Naples and the kitchen where you can do the same. If you have to go to Naples, this is basically the only hostel to stay in....but for 20.00 USD a bed????? I would suggest to find somewhere a little more safe, friendly and clean for your buck.

6 Small Rooms is an absolute gem of a hostel, I ended up staying there during summer for 8 nights. The hostel had a brilliant atmosphere which was down to the staff who always went out of their way to help everyone have a great stay. The hostel has a great common room where people can just chill together, a FULLY equipped kitchen right next to the common room with a big table that heaps of people can eat around. It was clean with heaps of space in the dorm rooms and no bunks. Also, Jen and the staff are flexible about leaving your bags there when you check out which is nice. Its in a safe area and really central which was a huge help. Overall, this is the best hostel Ive stayed in by far: clean, central, safe and with the best set of staff you'll ever find. This is the place to stay in Naples.

This place is exactly how hostels were created and meant to be. Friendly, warm and helpful staff, good advice on things to see in the area, value for money, communal atmosphere and local colour (beer lady!). The best place to escape from the crazy city outside and meet new friends.

I loved this place. Central, clean, friendly and really good value for money. There was nothing that was too much trouble. Check out is a luxurious 10.30 and even then you can leave your bags.It felt like a big share house, everyone either sits around the huge kitchen table eating and chatting or hangs out in the common room watching movies, reading whatever. The staff were exceptional, I have never bothered to submit a review for any place before but I have to congratulate the owner and staff of 6 small rooms it has been by far my favorite place to stay in Italy, hope I can make it back before my trip ends.
