This hostel is run by americans, so you can't go wrong. My friend and I saw the reviews on this site and thought we couldn't go wrong and we didn't. We stayed 2 nights in an 8 bedded dorm. The room was huge and the bathrooms and rooms are sparkling clean. It is just a minute or two walk from the train station. I would stay here again if I return to Rome.

This place is so close to the train station you can see it. It's so convenient because the train station has a metro station, bus station, supermarket and a large economical buffet style restaurant. The hostel has very good security. The hostel itself is completely renovated and rooms looks funky and the kitchen is gorgeous. The whole hostel is clean. Shower is hot and powerful. Everything is well thought out and you can immediately feel that they have placed customer service as a priority. Everything is spot on and at times made us feel like we are staying in a hotel. Advantage is that this place don't have many rooms we got close to everyone staying there. The staff are friendly and helpful. This is one place I can say for sure that the staff and the management knows what hospitality and service is all about. This is one of the best hostel we stay in having travel through Europe for the past 2 months and having stayed in numerous hostels.

Everyone I talked to who stayed at the beehive recommended it. We stayed at one of their apartments(clover). Free internet, kitchen, clean bathroom. The staff was great, friendly and helpful.

I wonder if there is such thing as a luxury hostel because The Beehive deserves all the praises! I definitely agree with the review by Robeena. I strongly recommend this hostel to all travellers, young and old, who are looking for a quality hostel with a tranquil, homely and friendly atmosphere. I miss Ingmar who kept me company and warmed my bed while I was exploring the magnificent city of Rome. I just hope that the computer will soon support asian languages.

We (a family with 3 kids) stayed at the Acacia Apartment operated by the Beehive Hostel for 4 nights in September. It was a great set up for a family. We shared a 4 bedroom appartment with various other travellers who came and went. Good facilities that were very clean. Had a small kitchen and a shared bathroom. Location is close to the station and central to all the sights, however, our window opened over a very noisy road and tram line and the whole building trembled everytime the tram went past. After one sleepless night, and the purchase of ear plugs, we seemed to get used to it and it wasn't a problem again. We were given an excellent local guide book and map from the hostel when we checked in. The apartment was very good, but it was located about 10 mins walk from the hostel, and in some ways I think the Beehive hostel would have been better - easier access to staff, information and internet, easier to check in when arriving late at night after a looooong plane trip, and it looked really excellent with a lovely garden.

The Beehive deserves all the good reviews! It is by far the BEST hostel I stayed at during my 5 week tour of Europe. The price may be a little higher, but well worth it! It is pristine! The design and decor are fabulous. The place is incredibly clean. The staff are helpful, friendly and genuine. Upon check-in you receive The Beehive's guide to Rome's best bets. It gave us some great recommendations and had a map. If your room is ready, they will check you in early. If not, they offer you a chance to shower, hang out, eat, surf the net, lounge in the garden etc. Sooo welcoming! Book well in advance! This place fills up quickly. Splurge on a private room if you are travelling as a couple. Its super spacious and clean! It gets hot in Rome and the Beehive is fully stocked with fans to keep you cool at night. A really funky garden out front and a secure gate. The best part was the kitchen. Label and cook food to save money! Oh! If you're going to buy a fake designer purse on this trip. Save it for the pleuthora of vendors in front of the Colosseum...you can get them down to 30 euros. Watch out for the tiger mosquitos. Most people SWELL up HUGE when bitten! My ankle was swollen for 2 days and I could barely walk. Apparently, they are common in Rome!

The Beehive is a wounderful hostel in a great location in Rome. There are only some metres to train station where you can catch all buses and trains. It's very clean (!!!) and has nice staff. You also can use the internet for free. That's really kind and a good help to search some information for your next destination. The hostel looks like a stylish hotel and you will feel there like at home. A really good choice!
