The great thing about this hostel is its convenient location (exit the train station, turn left and walk a couple minutes). The last thing you need when arriving in Venice is having to zig zag through a twisting maze of canals to find a place to dump your heavy pack. There is a slight lack of toilet facilities resulting in line-ups for the toilet/bath. But other than that, the hostel is clean, comfortable and a good place to stay.

Casa Gerotto was very easy to find and it was right in the middle of a square. Make sure to bring earplugs as the noise levelis a little higher due to the church bells, vendors and overall human traffic outside. The shower could have been a little more renovated but the bottom line is the staff was friendly and helpful. I would go back.

You'll find this pension in a square not far from the station. I have recommended it to other friends and they were happy with their stay there, as I was. I would definately stay there again. The staff speak some English and were very friendly. The only consideration is a church bell nearby that rings quite early - but then why spend the morning in bed when there's Venice to explore.
