Out of the 7 Hostels I stayed in, across 5 countries in Europe this august, Vondelpark was the largest, most organised and impressive. All the comments made by earlier reviewers are correct. Only one jarring note, the hostel (as can be seen from its lounges) is occupied by large groups, making it intimidating and difficult for individuals to get company and make new aquaintainces.

we were very impressed with the voldelpark. the staff were very nice and helpful, the rooms were very clean even though they were big, the voldelpark location is great for vondelpark itself, nearby museums, cafe, coffeeshops, and it is close to a bus route. the only drawback is that it is not a great place to meet people. better to go with a friend or a group.
