Where to start, the hostel is in a good location (near the main bars and cafes), good price (thats goes for all of Portugal), very helpful staff and good facilities (kitchen, pool table, internet connection - go to the cafe up the road; there are books to read if you can't be bother in leave the hostel and they have limited rail and bus information).

Best of all 24 hour opening. Believe me you will need it.

This hostel is really nice. I stayed here is July, 2002. The sorm rooms are mostly 4 to a room and each person has their own key. They provide a good breakfast and have a communual kitchen (though you'll probably end up eating at Casa Rosa like everyone else). The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. There is a safety deposit service for when you go to the beach. The hostel now allows you to come in at any time (no more curfew), but the door is locked after midnight. You must show your room key to the security guard and no guests are allowed in. The washrooms and rooms are kept fairly clean. There is a really nice central courtyard too. Bank machines in Lagos routinely don't work apparently so bring enough cash in with you. Finally, this hostel does fill up quickly. It doesn't take telephone reservations, but you can reserve your room over the internet in advance at hostelbooking.com Have fun!

I went to this hostel last year and had a blast. Although it is hard to get into, it fills up fast make sure you get there early theres a waiting list most days. The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that you have to be there before 1am or the doors are closed. The night life around lagos is wild so keep an eye on the time. This hostel also offers a lot of activites for a small price.

Dorm rooms are likely all that's available but the beds are comfy. Rooms at the front are a bit noisy - earplugs work well. Bathrooms aren't too bad but the showers tend to be slow drainers. Nice central courtyard, a kitchen, washing facilities (read: a tub with a washboard and plenty of clothesline!). Staff are helpful with travel info. Breakfast included and is decent! Happy beach travels...Lagos is amazing!
