this was one of the cleanest hostals i have ever stayed in! the staff was very friendly, the rooms were huge, and most are equipped with a private bathroom, (well worth the extra dollar!). it has a great location right off la rambla, they have lockers in every room so you can lock up your stuff while you're not there. they don't have a kitchen or breakfast that i know about, but there are plenty of cheap places to eat in barcelona. it was a great hostal, about 15 minute walk from the beach,and everyone there was very friendly. i really enjoyed my stay there..

I stayed here in the summer time of 2001. It was one of the best hostels I have spent time in. The owners were very nice, the rooms were spotless, I met a ton of people, and it was close to everything! If you are staying in Barcelona, stay here! You won´t regret it
|

Was very satisfied with the accommodation at this hostel. Well run and close to pubs shopping and attractions, one of the best hostels I have stayed in throughout Western Europe. And lots of different people from all over the world.

Located in the heart of Barri Gotic, it's an inexpensive and clean family-run hostel. The kitchen is too small and not very well-equipped, so you'd better reschedule your eating hours or... hit the road, man. The Spanish cuisine is excellent and affordable even on a tight budget.
