I stayed in a private room with private facilities, so I can't comment on the dorms. However, I thought the hostel was great - the staff were really friendly, the room was spotlessly clean and it is centrally located.The only downside was the price - 135F - but the room reflected the price really.For those of you with cars, I was able to park the car a five minute walk from the hostel (over the bridge).

A nice easy walk from the train station and located right in the heart of town. Great dorm rooms sleeping 6 people with reading lamps and lockers. Large friendly common area with tv, pool table, equiped kitchen and laundry. Showers with hot water and a dry, private area for changing. All you could want or need in a hostel.

The one thing that stands out in this hostel is the excellent localization!It's really in the heart of the old city,near everything and easy to find.All the rooms and showers are very clean (it's the only hostel I know where they cleaned it every morning!).They have a very good kitchen that everyone can use, and that's the best ,because it allows you to save some swiss francs!The rules are a bit strict, but that's what makes the hostel work.It's definitely the place to stay in Bern!

Tuve suerte de encontrar lugar en este hostal, que si bien es un poco caro, tiene algunas ventajas, pues los cuartos son bonitos y limpios, y las camas confortables. Más maravilloso resultó encontrar a un par de españolas que me permitieron hablar en mi idioma con total tranquilidad. El hostal tiene un área de televisión bastante amplia y el control de la tv lo tiene básicamente el que lo gane, aunque hay que pagar una cuota extra en caso de que se quiera ver una programación especial. La cocina es fabulosa, de manera que es posible ahorrar unos francos suizos o euros en alimentos que se pueden preparar ahí (porque en la calle tambíén todo es carísimo). Está bien ubicado: la estación está cerca, otro punto a favor. Y sí, el bar de abajo es carísimo, mejor ni entrar. Otra ventaja del hostal es que tiene lavandería e internet, este último tan sólo en una máquina, lo que a veces hace que tengas que esperar tu turno durante horas. Sin embargo, es un sitio bastante agradable.

IT was a very nice place to stay. finding it from the train station was really easy. There is a bar downstairs but it's really expenisive so i really wouldn't recommend going there. But the hostel is really clean and the first night you pay for sheets and then it's 23 franks a night after that. Another big plus is it has a very nice kitchen so you can use it too cook and keep some cost down.
