we stayed in a private room in here for 2 days before moving.

San Pedro is a small party town on the lake & where & how you sleep is not so important to the traveller. Hippies & ravers enjoy the hedonistic life!!! nudge nudge wink wink........

This hostel was about us$8-10/night, but was just a little unmaintained for us. (it needed a womans touch, the ownwer was a single bloke in mid 20's) sorry to be sexist but it showed. Ok, but you can find better.

we met a guy in a bar who recommended us to Casa El Sueno, 3 minutes walk from the boat harbour & us$11/night with cable Tv & comfy bed. non of the hostels do food or have any real facilities etc. san pedro is basic.

Get drunk, feel safe to party & enjoy the scenery - most people think they will be there a few days but get sucked into the san pedro thing & leave a week or 2 later be warned.

if your really straight about drinking or other stuff then don't waste your time or annoy the party people either.
