What an awful smell..., July 21, 2008

I stayed in the dorm on the main floor. It is located in the back of a hair salon and it looks like it is/was a hair salon still, except for the bunk beds. The worst part was the strong smell of all the chemicals they put in ppls hair... the smell was awful. There was no window, except for a very small one high up that only seemed to reach some internal larger space but not outside. No air circulation. At least try to stay in another dorm/room than this one !

I arrived at 9pm and seemed to wake up the person in charge. There seemed to be nobody else, it was somewhat spooky.

It was clean enough (except for the smell). Could not see any common area, no bfast. Yet it was pricier than other hostels in Perce/Riviere du loup.
