Satisfying but nothing special, mainly just a place to sleep, April 17, 2006

Pros: Great location, warm, safe

I stayed here for 4 nights and while this wasn´t the perfect hostel I was satisfied with it. I would come here again if I had to.

Pros: Great location on 34th St & 8th Ave being close to a subway and Penn Station, close to Empire State Building and fast food places with a convenience store on the corner, TVs and ensuite in every room, free breakfast (just a bagel and muffin and banana and coffee and juice though), quiet away from most street noise, warm inside rooms, fairly helpful staff with answering questions.

Cons: $4 a day for locker storage even after checkout, small rooms with 6-share much better than 4-share (although there´s no space in NYC for anything), showers were cramped and sometimes hard to get the temperature right, internet was a bit expensive with the nearest net cafe at Times Square on 42nd St, nowhere to socialise with other people apart from the small kitchen and your own room, fairly expensive rates but I think this is common for New York City.
