Above average hostel accommodation for New York City..., November 13, 2006
Reviewer: Jelly Belly from Vancouver, Canada

Pros: Location, location, location...
Cons: The ensuite bathroom in the Swiss Suite!

The hostel location is great - not far from Central Park, and within walking distance to Times Square. The staff were professional and efficient, but a little lacking in enthusiasm.

The dorm I stayed in (the Swiss Suite), was of a good size, and comfortable to rest in. Unfortunately, the ensuite bathroom was disgusting, and the shower was dark and filthy. After taking one look at it, I decided to use the bathroom in the hallway.

I only stayed one night (I was leaving New York anyway), so i'm not sure if the state of the ensuite bathroom was down to inadequate cleaning, or messy roommates, but it was the only real negative point of my stay.

For New York, I think this hostel is above average, so for that reason, I recommend this place.
