BUG Review
Set in a gorgeous villa south of Hollywood, Gramercy is the type of place backpackers dream about after long stints in cramped, dingy old dorms. It actually smells like flowers in there, and with 3 fully stocked kitchens, a relaxing patio/garden area, and a plush television room, it has everything a hostel needs, while feeling more like a retreat. The pastel walls and beautiful new wooden furniture bisect with nice hardwood floors and new carpets. The dining room even has a china cabinet. Staff are extremely pleasant, and there is Wi-Fi and free internet available. It may not be party central, but in Los Angeles there are plenty of parties going on elsewhere, and it could be just the spot to rest your head after a long night. Prices are only slightly above the average for LA, and well worth it if you don’t mind the location in a residential neighborhood south of Hollywood.

This is the BEST place in Los Angeles!! I've stayed here twice and always have my 'out-of-town' guest stay here, too! The amenities are wonderful, the rooms are clean and bright, the staff is extremely helpful and polite, the atmosphere is great, it's centrally located, very comfortable, and best of all... because it is a shared environment, it's a great place for networking and making friends! I've made some great connections, friends and associates through Gramercy Place. Whether you are just passing through, or making LA your home, Gramercy Place offers a temporary comfortable atmosphere for you to rest your head!! This place is unique, a rare gem!

A very helpful place when you want to settle down in LA. People are just great and so pleasant. Even if the area is not amazing, the building is so charming & peaceful. Amazing facilities, everything is made to make you stay as long as possible. It's been a real pleasur to stay at Gramercy Place !

Gramercy Place is a great place to stay for a short time, or a long time. I was in between apartments in Los Angeles and found Gramercy a wonderful and affordable alternative to staying in a hotel. It's easy to get to downtown LA, Hollywood, and the west side because it is centrally located. On a side note, at the Chateau du Gramercy, you'll meet the most interesting people from all walks of life. For example, I met a movie producer, a British film and tv actor, a blind stand-up comedian, a deejay, a clock maker, a professional extra, a really old lady, and several exchange students! So, whether you come for a few nights or stay for a few months, you will not be disappointed.

I stayed here for two good chunks of time during my transition to LA and I love this place.

The vibe and atmosphere are both fun and positive and the staff really makes you feel at home.

The amenities are great and its dilligently kept clean.

by the way, as far as party central goes, the staff has been known to throw some great parties!

Gramercy Place is a wonderful introduction to LA. One-of-a-kind!

I have great memories of all the fun times I spent at gramercy place, and I'll always remember it for the warm welcome it gave me to a sometimes-intimidating city.
