BUG Review
The USA Hostel in San Diego has had some good reviews, but in our opinion it is overrated. It is in a big old building that needs a makeover, but it has a central location in the Gaslamp Quarter and it is buzzing with lots of travellers passing through. Facilities include a small fully-equipped kitchen, a dining area and a lounge/party room. Its strong points are the great atmosphere and central location.

another good hostel from usa hostels. fairly cheap for the area.good bar area & food nights, internet room & dvd room.lots of small dorms in an converted guest house, 4-8 per dorm or private rooms available (not many so book weeks in advance for them).very sociable place & friendly staff.only holds about 70 people max - only backpackers allowed so quite safe. if they didn't like the look of you, they probably wouldn't let you in etcquite well placed hostel for the action & regular hostel organised trips to Tijuana, Mexico. lockup ya daughter's & take only what you want to spend!!no what i mean........
