This place is just something to keep away from it! First they charged us more than we're supposed to. Check your account, before you sign . Cleanliness: The hostel is located in the most dirty and smelly areas Downtown. Redlight-business right next to it! They are RATS in the hallway, FLEES-BITES all over our bodies after sleeping on this shitty matraces! Even the bathroom had mud and MUSHROOMS on the wall!!! The mushrooms where as big as a child's hand! Most people there don't take showers because it's so dirty. Also the kitchen is so dirty that bugs are everywhere - what a disgusting place! The rooms are crowded and the windows don't close. Everything is rotten. Even it's one of the cheaper places to stay in SF - it's not worth the money!!! We'll send an mail to the hostel inspector to close this place down. Unfortunately we forgot to take pictures of that place to keep you - traveller friends - away from this place. Try to spend a little more money for other hostels such as HI and usahostel, but stay safe and clean and AWAY from this place here!
Staff: The "Indian Guy" - a man from India - Asu is his name - is a liar and dirty! He tells people stupid things and if you correct him, because he isn't telling the truth, he starts to get very rude and mean and treats you bad - expecially if you are females and not willing to believe his lies or sleep with him for free! He stays on his computer the whole day and doesn't care about other things for guests of the hostel. Everybody in the hostel complains about him - but we guess he is a buddy from the manager and can allow everything. The common room upstairs is closed between 11pm and 8pm - because the "Indian Guy" is sleeping with female guests in that room there where you eat breakfast!!! - All the staff are not clean - they smell and wear dirty clothes every day. One of them is smoking Marihuana the whole day! Not an hour he doesn't want you to rent a bicycle from him.

Well, try this:
- the place feels more like a circus than a hostel
- the owner is constantly shouting at people over $1. Obviously, money is THE most imporant thing on the planet, and must be argued about at top of his voice.
- The doors are hard to lock
- The stairs are very very hard to get stuff up
- It is VERY hard to find, you will probably cart your stuff up & down town to find this place
- The staff will crack onto you if you are a girl, and have little or no knowledge of irony
- The regular guests here seem like the insane asylum let them loose
- The bathrooms are just bareable in usingIf these guys give you any shit, just say that you will definitely write a crap review about them, and any money they save by doing a Dead Parrot Skit, they lose in getting people here.Basically....

This was the worst hostel I have ever had the misfortune to book into. The man on the desk was rude and ignorant beyond belief and offered no help when we requested it. The room was filthy, the windows and doorframes were rotting, and there was rubbish everywhere. The security lockers we were promised were not available and the man on the desk would not allow us to shut the door to the dorm room, meaning our belongings were on display at all times. The elusive manager was no help at all as the time he was supposed to be arriving conveniently kept changing so we lost the majority of our money when we refused to stay, which I believe we were entitled to as the hostel did not live up to the standards promised when we booked & the cancellation policy kept changing from 24hrs to 48hrs. If you want a pleasant stay in San Francisco, I urge you to stay elsewhere.
