Basically this place is ok

LOCATION easy to get here by walking from the BART station

on the edge of the Tenderloin, quite a good downtown location with easy access to many bus routes, cable cars, streetcars. San Fran has great public transit

ROOM: my room was a private room with private bath i paid 67 a night it was cold though... but the people at the desk gave me a 2nd comforter room had 2 lockers that could be locked had my own bathroom cleaned almost daily i think many shared bathrooms and showers in the halls

Cleaniness daily cleaning. adequate

Kitchen Microwave, sinks, toasters, 2 large fridges so you can buy your own stuff and store it

Breakfast bagel, OJ/tea/coffee, toast

Internet: free WIFI and also 10 cents a minute high speed internet

EXTRAs as a HI hostel in a busy place they seem to have volunteers lead tours of various themes throughout the week sometimes you have to go to another hostel in the city or meet up at a specific san fran location i never went on their tours but would have like to if my schedule worked out better

Laundry 2 washers, 4 dryers and you can buy detergent there!

TV only 1 station. VCR. can rent

ATMOSPHERE not so great good meeting areas and common rooms but a lot of people seemed to spend all their time in the common room on their laptops surfing

the kitchen in the am was better for talking to people
