great place, awful staff, the owner was the worst!, August 17, 2007
Reviewer: migliore from Seattle

Pros: Beautiful, teepees and wagons are fun and the forest offers hiking, barn has pool and foosball
Cons: the staff, the owner yelled at me, a lot, enough to make me cry, the day after my wedding

We had a bad time with the staff here. Our wedding was great, the ceremony was beautiful and everyone had a good time. However the staff were pushy at times, yelling at guests when they thought that their chairs were in the rain(we brought our own), asking family members for payment (the balance was settled more than a week before the event) And the grand finale: the owner made me cry the morning after the wedding.

I admit that the cleaning was not completely done, however we were not given a checklist of cleaning expectations and we were ready to help finish any cleaning that was left to do that morning. She however didn't seem to care. She just wanted to yell at me. She was hysterical, she even eneded up throwing cardboard around. I tried to calm her down, she yelled. I asked her to stop because I was going to cry, she yelled and told me I should cry. She was just awful and abusive.

I left that morning sobbing and dragging a garbage bag full of wedding linens, my dress, wedding gifts . . . it was awful. I stood with my husband on the side of the road sobbing and hoping to get picked up by someone headed to the ferry.

This exact problem won't happen to travelers, but these people who yell at young brides and grooms will treat anyone with disrespect. We will never go back and we hope others will consider our experience before booking a night at the ranch.
