I ended up staying at Anjuna Palms for ten nights. This is quite common apparently - people go and just never want to leave. I stayed in a 3 person dorm although only had one roomate. There is an 8 person dorm as well. The bathroom facilities were across the courtyard but that is not a problem at all. There is also private rooms that have their own bathroms. Munchies, a 24 hour cafe, is at the gate. The Anjuna Palms owners were so lovely. They chatted to everyone, welcomed all like friends, and could not do enough to help. They do laundry, sell water, have internet access and books are available to swop and borrow, a brilliant service for backpackers. They were very helpful in helping me find a doctor when I had an ear infection, and they sell COLD bottled water for only 10 rupees a bottle. It can be noisy at night, but this is not the fault of Anjuna Palms, rather from surrounding open bars, and the cockeral that starts up at 3am. I loved staying there and eve after 10 nights I did not want to leave.
