BUG Review
Singapore's YMCA is a large complex featuring a gym, restaurant and rooftop swimming pool. It is a clean and well maintained place with an institutional atmosphere that offers a range of accommodation ranging from basic dormitory beds to deluxe double rooms.

This is very much like a hotel but at a hostels price. Everything is very clean and the staff were fairly helpful. There is no kitchen, but the restaurant serves very good food at reasonable prices.
It's not really a place for backpackers as there seemed to be more families there, which again makes it more like a hotel.
It is quite far away from everything, but there is a free bus that takes you backwards and forwards from the city centre. All in all, a good place to stay if you are looking for a cheap hotel rather than a hostel.
