Excellent, sanitary place, April 5, 2007
Reviewer: Sneeze from UK

Pros: Clean, excellent facilities, just like Singapore itself
Cons: Some might prefer a bit more of the backpacker "character".

I generally don't like dorms, preferring a private room. However, if you had to stay in a dorm, then this place is excellent. The management of this place also have a chain of hotels in Singapore, so the standards in terms of efficiency are on par with their hotel chain.

Personal, BIG locker. Clean sheets & towels. Coin operated washing machines/tumble dryers in basement. Plastic coated mattresses (more hygienic and less prone to bed-bug infestation). Powerful air-con. Bar. Excellent toilet & shower facilities. What more could you ask for?

The only "downside" to it was the hygiene of other stayers. As with any other place, different people have different ideas about cleanliness and hygiene. So, the toilets/showers can get a bit messy at night.

Location wise? Dunlop Street has a number of backpacker places, so you won't get lonely. Loads of food places nearby, and has excellent transport to anywhere in SG. Close to MRT stations, excellent bus links, and it is even walking distance to the Bus Terminal for JB/Malaysia
