BUG review
Batemans Bay YHA is a small hostel with a basic kitchen and TV lounge. The accommodation is clean but basic with old lino floors and cheap furniture. It is part of a larger caravan park and guests have use of the swimming pool and barbecue areas. It is in a residential street a short walk from the town centre.

imagine you arrive at 9.15 pm and the manager tells you

the hostel closes at 9 pm ... then you try to talk and talk ... but nothing do to. the hostel stays closed for us, travellers. so we went to a motel close to the yha,

and we could spent the night there.

Not what you would expect from a YHA hostel. No actual building or guest house, just a few very ancient little caravans dotted round a pretty crammed caravan park. Not that I have anything against caravans, but these were not what I would call clean or comfortable.

Shared amenaties were alright, and there was a camp kitchen. You pay here, more than I think the place is worth.
