BUG review
This is one of Australia's most beautifully located hostels. It is on a secluded hilltop overlooking Pittwater and the surrounding area is home to wildlife including wallabies and cockatoos. The hostel is a big old house with loads of charm. The hostel's facilities include a big common room with a fireplace and lots of books plus a fully equipped kitchen and an outdoor area with a barbecue. Accommodation is in small dorms with verandas where you can sit and enjoy the stunning views. It is a low-tech hostel with no TV so you can enjoy the ancient art of conversation.

A beautiful hostel set in Kurringai National Park overlooking Pittwater. Getting to this hostel requires a short ferry ride and a 15-20 minute uphill walk. Accomodation is fairly rustic, but theres a good kitchen and a balcony with views to die for. Visits from the surrounding bush of Possums, Wallabies and Lizards are common. Canoes are available for use I'm a Sydneysider and have often stayed at this hostel on weekends and always return feeling as though I've been to another world. Pittwater is a secret kept from many international vistors, I believe its the most beautiful part of Sydney. I've also written a review of the Bellingen hostel which is another special place.
