BUG review
Merimbula's YHA hostel is a good quality purpose-built hostel with facilities that include a kitchen, a lounge/dining room with a pool table, plus a TV room and another TV lounge upstairs with table tennis. It is located on a quiet street across the lake from the town centre (a 15-minute walk away) and just a two-minute walk from the beach.

About BUG's hostel reviews
This hostel was visited by one of BUG's team of hostel inspectors who write independent reviews and assess a star rating based on an objective assessment criteria.

We show up unannounced at hostels to write honest and unbiased hostel reviews. Many of BUG's reviews now feature videos and photo slideshows. BUG never receives payment for listing any establishment and BUG's researchers never accept free accommodation in exchange for favourable reviews.

Just a 150m walk to the surf beach. The australian wild life is at the back door with kangroo's and much colourfull bird life. There is a museum with a killer whale and how it use to take the boats out to sea with a tow rope in it's mouth. It is on the east coast between Sydney & Melbourne Great hosts Wayne & Betty.
