BUG review
The Outback Pioneer Lodge is part of the large Ayers Rock Resort. It offers a relatively high standard of accommodation. Although some rooms have 20 beds, there are dividing walls that lend a degree of intimacy and four-bed dorms are also available for an additional cost. Shared facilities include a kitchen; TV lounge; laundry; internet access including Wi-Fi ($10 per hour, PIE); a bar and two restaurants, the Pioneer BBQ and the cheaper Pioneer Kitchen plus a swimming pool. There is a free shuttle bus that connects the hostel to other parts of the resort complex.

If you want dorm accommodation near Uluru then this is your only option, and the price reflects that monopoly. For your money you get a small dorm without much space, but everything else about the place is excellent - it's super-clean and you have access to the main resort's facilities including swimming pool, barbecue area, and bar/entertainment area. I'd happily stay here again.

Clean dorms and bathrooms. Plenty of showers. Good bar and BBQ and takeaway kiosk. Good atmosphere. Very expensive for what you get, but this is the only hostel in Uluru, so if you want to stay here as opposed to Alice you don't have much choice but to pay up. Security wasn't great - 2 of the 3 doors to my dorm didn't lock. Internet was £12 an hour - not good.
