BUG review
This YHA has lots of colour but is looking rather weathered. The dorms are compact and quickly get cluttered. The bathrooms have old tiles and grimy showers. There is a good cinema room with soft couches and a chilled out atmosphere, and a hammock-lined backyard with a big swimming pool. They offer free breakfast, body boards and kayaks, yoga classes, and regular shuttle service, including a daily bus to the Australia Zoo and Underwater World. It is located in a quiet residential area.

The facility is a little dated, but this adds character, the staff were all friendly and very helpfully, the atmosphere was excellent, a buzz with fellow travels, though the rooms may be considered cramped it was still comfortable, excellent facilities and clean, local to everything, I was participating in training in the area, but could see that it was local to a lot of attractions, and during the week out of peak season nice quite local community, would like to return.

i found out about this hostel through word of mouth by a mate in manly,at the time i was brassic for money(long story)and needed to see somewhere new and was told that there was work guarenteed so i hopped on the bus up there i arrived with my best mate and had 200 bucks between us n both thinkin we could only pay for five nights n then have to either 'MAKE THE CALL' or fly home, but to our luck the people there really helped us out,zac and justin( the managers btw) they sorted us out jobs on farms strawberry picking which put us back on the straight n then again they got us a job on a building site which basically paid for us to move on up the coast, thats just the money side of things, the hostel itself is a rollercoaster of fun to relaxation, one day you can just sit or lay your choice,by the pool with the tunes playing n not have a care in the world to everyone wasted playing ring of fire or death shithead which we all backpackers know, free brekkie is a proper bonus aswell especially when u havent no food n its the life of noodle hehehe!!!,but of course its wot u make of it,theres always a few loners who dont wanna join in but your always made to feel welcome by the fellas zac more than likely is partyin in the evenin and is always cracking jokes n justin pretty much has every music single out there so request somethin n he'll probably have it,outside the hostel there alot to do,free courtesy bus to aussie zoo, plus free buses to the shops and beaches, for future reference alex heads is the best for surfing n mooloolaba for chillin,if u like fishing there a lagoon literally 1 minutes walk down the road, plenty of breem,,,trust, all n all its a wicked place n an experience in its self, well recommend,,oh and dont miss out on the glasshouse mountains there something else!!!!

This hostel offers an outstanding experience for the quiet and fun seeking alike. A beautiful setting, nice pool and a manager who is one of us and understands backpackers needs. The facillities are not outstanding but clean and useable. You cannot escape making new friends in the evening! Make sure you do one of the tours/activities/BBQs offered. I personally recommend the skydiving from Caloundra airport, make sure you bool through the hostel to get the discount. It IS a bit far off of the town and beach but with reasonable healthy feet it is not that much of a problem, and if, there is always the courtesy bus.

This is a great place to stay. Came to Maroochydore for some R&R but there is so much to do through the hostel, thins like parachuting onto the local beaches. We wish we had more time here but would get fat on all the free icecream. You must go to Australia zoo.

I went to Maroochydore for one day and ended up staying for a week. The staff were friendly, always helpful and go out of their way to help people. I really recommend their $10 tours to unusual places like the Glass House mountains and the Noosa National Park. They also have free icecream every night which brings everyone together at the end of the day, and a great BBQ on Saturday nights. While I was here I also did a shark dive with Under Water World which was intense, it was amazing being up close to such amazing creatures. I really recommend this town and this hostel. Especially for the adventurous.
