BUG review
The island’s only YHA hostel is clean and the nice outdoor area has a great view out to sea. Hammocks are hanging from the trees and the house has a relaxing atmosphere. Facilities include internet access, a TV room, laundry, kitchen and a barbecue. The dorms are usually sex segregated and most of the rooms have en suite bathrooms. The beds have good mattresses.

This is a nice and quiet hostel in a very small town. Just the place if you want to relax. They have a hangmat in the garden and a beach on the other side of the road. The rooms are very big, have lockers for everyone and each room has their own toilet and shower.
The manager is very nice and will help you in any way he can. I had a really relaxing time in this hostel and I can recommend it to everyone.

I stayed here just 1 night on a package which included a tour of Kangaroo Island. The hostel is located a short walk from the ferry terminal, and just above the place where a small penguin colony lives, and which offers a night penguin experience. The hostel rooms are in cabins which come with not only en suite bathrooms but included some kitchen facilities. They were pretty spacious. The staff don't seem to be around much. My keys were just left in an envelope for me, and I just had to drop them off when I left in the same place. I think you'd get bored here for a while, but you only usually use it for a night or so while visiting the island.

This is a nice small hostel all rooms are ensuite with fridge, microwave etc there is also a small shared kitchen and tv room. Rooms are very clean. The hostel is located across the road from a penguin colony who do nightly tours and you can even see penguins in the garden. Staff are friendly and helpful but only give info on their own tours not all available tours on the island. Kangaroo Island is well worth a visit and the YHA is a good place to stay
