BUG review
Andu Lodge is an old house on a residential street close to the centre of Quorn, which makes a good base for exploring the Flinders Ranges. However everything about the hostel feels old and tired and with most furniture and fittings dating at least 30 years, it is crying out for a complete makeover. Facilities include an old TV lounge with uncomfortable scratchy sofas plus a kitchen and dining room with 1950s-style retro furniture. Security is also a weak point - although the building can be locked up at night, guests don't get keys to their rooms.

I used this place as a base when visiting various places in the Flinders Ranges NP. The owner was extremely helpful in terms of local information. It seems as though most of the custom here comes from tour groups, who (naturally enough) tend to be cliquey, so the atmosphere wasn't so great.If you're wanting to spend lots of time in Flinders Ranges NP, you might want to also consider either Parachilna (the Parachilna Overflow) or in the park itself. Even though no backpacker accommodation is advertised by the park, they do have some dorm beds (at least that's what the visitor centre told me) - I think they're trying to attract a more monied class of customer, so they downplay their budget facilities.Would stay at Andu again.

Chances are, like me, you won't be lingering in Quorn but more likely passing through and spending a night there. This hostel is very good for a place like this ; comfy beds, baths provided which is a rarity, nice sized kitchen and lounge for guests, and useful info on activities etc.In all probability there won't be many people there either and you'll have the place to yourself.

Good facilities, clean, comfy beds, friendly and helpful staff and its pretty close to the shops. Quorn itself is not the most exciting place, well its in the far north Flinders Rangers, but its a good place to stay if your'e are exploring the Flinders or coming down or up the state. 5 stars for being an ace place in the middle of the desert.

One night in the quiet,secluded and picturesqe town of Quorn was a good time for relaxation after travelling for a bit. The hostel is very centrally located with both the supermarket and bar within walking distance. The rooms are very neat and clean as are the toilets and showers. The staff is helpful and friendly. The kitchen facilities are excellent. Would have loved to spend some more time there but had to move on.
