BUG review
Robe’s lovely YHA hostel is an old manor house dating from 1884 that overlooks Lake Fellmongery. The beautiful building features polished Baltic pine floors, stained glass windows and lots of antique flourishes. The majestic hallway is the length of two cricket pitches and wide enough to drive a car down and the library has comfortable leather sofas and a large blackwood and mahogany bookcase with leather and gold leaf trimming. Apart from the library, the hostel’s amenities include a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining area and television lounge with internet access ($6 per hour). There is also barbecue area and a garden with pine, cypress, sheoaks and Moreton Bay fig trees. Guests have free use of bikes and surfboards. It is a really nice place to stay and offers a touch of class and old world charm while still providing all the mod cons.
