BUG review
This old house is on a quiet residential street far from the centre of Devonport. It is a traditional (an institutional 1960s-style) youth hostel with a depressing feel and old dowdy furnishings. However it is cheap and clean enough and all the basic facilities are there including a small fully-equipped kitchen, a dining area and a TV lounge. The depressing atmosphere and remote location makes this a last resort - and that is really saying something when you consider the dire state of Devonport's other hostels!

we got a big room: queen bed with extra blankets, two single bunkbeds, a built in heater, a clothes rack with clothes hangers, huge windows, and towels too!

they changed our towels every day and put fresh towels in all the toilets as hand-drying towels and floormats.

it's not a party-place.
