BUG review
The Arthouse is a newly renovated 1888 building in Invermay, just north of Launceston's city centre. The hostel has lovely polished hardwood floors and offers a high standard of accommodation with new beds and clean newly renovated bathrooms. Amenities include a fully-equipped kitchen, and another smaller kitchen upstairs; a nice TV lounge, laundry, free Wi-Fi access and a nice courtyard with a barbecue and herb garden. The Arthouse is the best budget accommodation option in Launceston even though it isn't in the city centre.

This hostel was great and felt like I was staying in a big friendly share house. There was real furniture in rooms and a lovely balcony overlooking the river. Lots of communal areas, for eating, movie watching, internet and reading. The building it's self is gorgeous to look at, it's in walking distance from town but not noisy. The staff were really helpfull with local information, they were tollerant with people with limited English and they were at the desk untill 9pm. Cheap equipment hire. Relaxed and lovely! Make sure you visit Cataract Gorge while you are in Lonny!
