BUG review
Mountain View Holiday Lodge provides basic accommodation in en suite rooms that include four single beds, fridge, TV and a kettle. There is also a basic kitchen with an old oven that looks like it has come straight from a museum. It is really a last resort - only stay here if the hostels in Strahan and Tullah are full.

Booked a double room -- it was comfortable and affordable at AUD$75 a night
27 April 2009

Pros: HOT water, TV, all linen provided, soap, microwave, tea/coffee/milk, fridge, heater provided :)
Cons: Tap water was brown and didn't look drinkable

This was a homey and quiet place to stay for the night amidst amazing scenery--Queenstown is nestled in a mountainous area. Nice owners, and well kept rooms. Lots of thought went into makin the stay comfortable. The room wasn't just a box with a bed in the middle. What a respite from normal hostels where nothing is provided but a bed!
