BUG review
Buzza's Backpackers is in a house on a quiet street near the city centre. Like many hostels in converted houses, its facilities are minimal and on first impression it looks a bit basic. However it is clean and it has a warm and cosy atmosphere. Facilities are limited to the standard TV lounge, laundry and kitchen (no oven) and a small barbecue area outside.

Found this a lovely place to stay. Not bothered by any prying from others or staff. Clean above all else, and comfy beds. Jason was very welcoming - keep him !!

It's central location made getting about on foot really easy which was a definite plus.

The place is very clean, the beds are good and over all it's quite homey... it's a very good place to stay.

Down side. The email sytem is a 386 with a hernia... and a 28K modem - the whole kit needs to be trashed cause it's a sorry state of affairs there.

It needs to have a dedicated phone line and not a single line that is shared with the receptions phone line and it needs a real PC, not an abbacus with a battery up it's quoit.

A real PC - with enough brains for emailing costs almost nothing.

When this has been raised in the past.. nothing has been done, no changes... which is just plain slack and an infuriatingly stupid approach for the computer savvy.

The inhouse entertainment - even if only self generated, is poor, a VCR at least would be good - cause the TV stations can be lousy and there is a good video shop only 2 blocks away.

Bookings.... well I tried emailing them on several occaions to make a reservation but they never contact me back... the same goes for leaving phone messages etc..

In some ways it's a really nice place to stay at, but the less than adequate customer service / communications system really is enough to put you off after encountering the same attitudes a number of times over several years...

I mean they just don't even care enough to return calls or emails...

if it was not for the location and the nice clean beds etc.. I would not bother with them at all - not after thier consistantly slack approach to taking bookings - especially by email.....
