BUG review
Ironbark Cabins is set among bushland less than a 10-minute drive from Bendigo's city centre. It is comprised mostly of cabins with en suite facilities plus a couple of dormitories and a bush kitchen fitted out with barbecues, a fridge and microwave. The complex also has a horse riding centre ($25 half hour, $35 one hour) and a waterslide ($13 10-rides, $18 all day) although their main business is selling and renting metral detectors to amateur gold prospectors.

About BUG's hostel reviews
This hostel was visited by one of BUG's team of hostel inspectors who write independent reviews and assess a star rating based on an objective assessment criteria.

We show up unannounced at hostels to write honest and unbiased hostel reviews. Many of BUG's reviews now feature videos and photo slideshows. BUG never receives payment for listing any establishment and BUG's researchers never accept free accommodation in exchange for favourable reviews.
