BUG review
Leeuwin House is a part of a bigger accommodation complex. The backpackers’ accommodation here is affordable and good quality; but it doesn’t feel like a hostel at all as there are no facilities beside the kitchen and the tiny television, and the atmosphere here can be non-existent. On a positive note, it is clean and maintained to a high standard and there is a locker for every bed so it is a secure place to stay.

This place can't be faulted on maintenance, cleanliness, facilities, or price - the "dorms" consist of 2 single beds, the bathrooms are spacious, and the kitchen contains everything you could possibly need (and it's all clean). The main downer is that the atmosphere is like a motel too. Though I don't think there were many other guests in residence anyway, I probably wouldn't have met them even if there had been. This is a perfect place if you don't have an urge to meet people. Depending on how sociable I was feeling, I would definitely stay here again.

the owners who managed to get the hostel de-listed have gone now and the owners of Brook Lodge have taken over the operation and this hostel is now run as an over flow for Brook Lodge. The Nomads Railway Hotel did tout itself as a workers hostel but got into trouble because they were'nt, many disgruntled workers. Donnybrook Cottage Workstay is the only other Worker Backpackers Hostel in this popular fruit-picking area though it is mainly for couples and campers

A great place to stay, very cosy. Not only did the hostel owner look like Pippa from home and away but she mothered us like her very own foster kids. She organised work for us and provided transport in a very nice space wagon.A good location just up the road from the Railway Hotel (for Chase the Ace u can win $1000!) and the local video shop (4 films for $8 dollars.)

Lonely Planet and V.I.P Backpacker Resorts have both de-listed this hostel due to numerous complaints against the proprietor including assault. The only reason it continues to trade is because of its location ie fruit growing region which has a very high demand for seasonal harvest workers who are mostly travellers. The rating for this hostel should be 0
