BUG review
This popular hostel has clean and fairly well-maintained rooms, a good atmosphere and free homemade cake & coffee every afternoon (the manager does the baking herself). There is a good fully-equipped kitchen, a balcony with a barbecue and a comfortable TV room. It’s a good place to stay.
About BUG's hostel reviews
This hostel was visited by one of BUG's team of hostel inspectors who write independent reviews and assess a star rating based on an objective assessment criteria.
We show up unannounced at hostels to write honest and unbiased hostel reviews. Many of BUG's reviews now feature videos and photo slideshows. BUG never receives payment for listing any establishment and BUG's researchers never accept free accommodation in exchange for favourable reviews.

I ended up staying at (and sometimes working at) this hostel for over 8 months - funny, when my original plan was to stay for less then a week... It's small, clean, friendly with lovely managers (Caroline & Tony) and a great atmosphere. So many people show up to stay for a day or two but end up staying for weeks and weeks. Feels just like home! And the free chocolate cake is great... ;)

The backers in bunbury is nice and clean, with a friendly atmosphere. Definately not noisy with drunks (like i have seen in other places). Nice and relaxed in a quiet street. walk to the dolphins, the resturants, op shops, everything (without getting lost or really tired !) Well worth staying at :)who needs fancy when you have homely :)

I was here in October 2002 and really enjoyed my stay. Mark, the manager, is really friendly and laid back and the location was perfect. Bunbury's so small you can walk everywhere and the hostel's on a quiet side street. I was in a six bed dorm but it wasn't too busy so I had the room to myself a couple of nights. The kitchen and bathrooms are clean and Mark will rent you movies if you ask him. There's a coin-operated internet kiosk which is pretty expensive so go to the internet cafe in town. Make sure you check out the Dolphin Discovery Centre - I ended up volunteering there had an awesome time (and saw some dolphins!).

i've been 2-times to oz, and i saw quite a lot of hostels, but this was the best one! when i returned, i did not return to bunbury, but to the WANDER INN!It is a small, familiar hostel with a great and friendly atmosphere. they have a nice garden to sit outside, and the staff is also very friendly!

A really nice hostel, the owners are really friendly and they have a dog too. The facilities are good.
