BUG review
Dunsborough Beachouse YHA is a good hostel with a brilliant location right on the beach, three kilometres from the centre of Dunsborough. The hostel has a good atmosphere and facilities include a volleyball court, barbecue, TV lounge, a fully-equipped kitchen, internet access (including Wi-Fi) and a laundry. The sea view is great and it’s a nice place to stay.

Everything that everyone else says below is true. I stayed here in late Jan 2005, and found it to be an enjoyable experience in every way. The bed, room and bathroom were all clean and more than adequate. Most people were friendly, and there was a really interesting mix of both young backpackers from other countries, as well as some retired Aussies travelling around. I enjoyed talking to everyone. It was very easy to get chatting, but was also easy to escape by myself and read my book on the beach. The hostel is right on the beach - could not ask for a better setting. I had a car, so it was easier for me to zoom into town for supplies. I imagine for the average backpacker, it may have been slightly less than convenient, but the beachfront location makes up for that! When it got a bit chilly at night, we moved inside and played cards and then watched a DVD. Everything is here - was like being at a friend's house.Adrian was helpful, even giving me a great suggestion of a fantastic cafe in town for brekkie, when I asked where I could get a "proper coffee".I definitely recommend this place ... and while you're here, you should go on the Bushtucker wine tour - a great day.

Wow what a week! I spent just under a week here and wished I could have stayed longer. This place has such a party vibe thanks to Adrian and all the people who stay here. Every night was an excuse to party and I saw some sights that don't happen every day! The bbq is excellent, the beach couldn't be much closer and the everything else about this place is top class! Try and stay here for a few days and get to know everybody because you will have such a blast for sure!

From the moment we arrived, Adrian was an extremely welcoming and helpful host. Where to start...The beach is about 50 meters from your doorstep, barbies every Tuesday and Thursday, Clean & abundant facilities, well maintained grounds, herb garden, Rod the bbq chef (summer months), and even music in the toilets! This is really an outstanding place that anyone in the south west of WA should visit. Heads and tails above any Margaret River hostel!-Sara & Brett

You can't get much better than this! The beach at your doorstep, too many activities to choose from and plenty of space to just relax. This is by far, the friendliest hostel I have stayed in. Why would you need to stay anywhere else in the south-west?

I have been staying at this hostel for over thirty years and seen its development from an old school house to what it has become. It is very comfortable, ideal for friends and the lone traveller alike. It has just the right amount of pace in a beautiful location for a short or extended stay.
