BUG review
This newly renovated resort offers spotless dormitories and bathrooms. Amenities include a big fully-equipped kitchen, a laundry and a nice refreshing swimming pool. In the peak season there is a small outdoor cinema that shows films three times a week. The only downside to this resort is that it’s a resort – families, retired couples and backpackers all stay at Cape and this means that it doesn’t really have the vibe of a proper backpackers’ hostel. There’s no party atmosphere, the outdoor movies are all PG-rated and kids are in the pool.

The Blue Reef is a big holiday park with excellent facilities, emus included! Everything looks new, neat and tidy. Spacious, fully equipped kitchen with lovely outside (covered) dining and comunal area. The only improvement could be done in the dorms. There are four beds, the air-con and nothing else. Feels a little bit like a prison cell. I stayed four nights and found it annoying not to have anything to put stuff down on. Not even a chair for my clothes. But that's really the only minor drawback. Would stay here again.

Overall, this is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at! The rooms are air-conditioned, very clean, and have fairly new beds. Bathroom, though a bit of a walk, had plenty of toilets and showers and was sparkling clean. The kitchen was secure, no food ever taken and the porch was lovely. Great pool as well, though it closes at sunset. Short walk to the pubs and shops. Will definitely stay here again when returning to Exmouth!

2 showers and 3 toilets for the entire complex is not nearly adequate. the cabins themselves are nice enough, but the other facilities are really lacking.

Not a bad hostel. Its not outstanding, but rooms are in free standing cabins which come equipped with their own cooking facilities. Unfortunately the showers are a walk away, which isnt ideal if you come in late at night, but I only stayed 1 day and it was fine for a short stay.

This was a pretty decent place - we stayed in a double sharing a cabin with another couple - two double rooms linked by one kitchen/living area - basic but clean, and fantastic for star gazing!

I stayed in a tent here for 2 nights, the cabins are a better bet as then you do not have to use the spartan outside area they call kitchen. But be warned the cabin kitchens have limited utensils & ovens that don't work. The bathroom block was clean & the whole site is busy with holidaying Australians.
