BUG review
This purpose-built hostel is very popular among surfers staying here long-term and it’s a great place for everyone else as well. The common areas are excellent and include a spacious fully-equipped kitchen and TV lounge and you’ll find a barbecue, hammocks and a swimming pool in the backyard. Guests have free use of bicycles, body boards and snorkelling gear. It is a very clean hostel and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.

One of my first stops on the West Coast - very impressed. Excellent, family run hostel - staff very helpful. Can book activities for you (fantastic surfing lessons). Rooms open onto a veranda. Hammocks, pool, volleyball court. Very clean. Kitchen is excellent. Was quiet when there but everybody friendly. There was even a cat! A eal home from home. If you are in need of a battery-recharge, then this is the place for you!

We have been travelling around Australia and this place stands out. It is excellent.

We arrived late after a long day on the road and were made really welcome. We ended up being the only guests for the night and the log fire was burning and the cat snuggled up next to us whilst we watched TV.

The kitchen is excellent and the rooms are spotless.

The internet booth wasn't in service and (whilst she probably wont thank me for advertising it) the owner let me use her own personal PC - a really kind gesture that I really appreciated.

Check out Lancelin and stay at the lodge!

The owners of the Lancelin Lodge have put a great deal of effort into creating the perfect backpackers - and it really shows! Industrial kitchen - extremely clean. Big eating/lounge area. Pool. Courtyard. Heaps of showers/toilets. Rooms and beds are clean, comfy, quiet. Really friendly family environment. Good way to meet other travellers. I love visiting from Perth for a relaxing surfing weekend away.
