BUG review
Central Oasis Backpackers is a small kauri villa right in the centre of town. It’s a cute, high-ceilinged older house that has had some renovation and is generally well maintained. There are only a few rooms – a seven-bed dorm, a three-bed share, and a double. Guests share a small kitchen and a common room with a little TV. There’s an internet room as well; cupboard-sized, really, with a single PC. A backyard has a barbecue, a nice big table, and there’s room for tents as well. Bikes are free to use. The very friendly German owners are a good source of information about the town and the region. There’s just a very charming vibe to the place. Free popcorn, too.

I liked this place very much. New (german) hosts with two little children who are just gorgeous. Children are around quite often and you can play with them (or not if you don't like). Work at the kiwi orchards available (thinning or picking). Very clean place (altough things are a little old). Free bikes (about 10 min to the beach). There is a TV now. A lot of guests (mainly those working at the kiwi orchards) stay for a longer time. I loved the homely atmosphere and you can have a great time there!! (Hope it won't be crowded after I wrote this review... ;-)).

Hi you who think of going to east cost. If I say this place is the best, then it wont be the next time I will visit it. It will be rushed and over packed vith turists. But everyone who is relaxed and easy going should go to Lothars Central Oasis to play some Backgammon, go fishing or check out the sofa on the porch. Truly I don´t know anyone who just stayed there for one night only. Myself only for four months.

Enjoy the welcoming coffe
